ADVANCED STRUCTURAL
ANALYSIS AND DESIGN
This unit provides students with an in depth technical
competence in the analysis and design of complex structures using a variety of
construction materials. Students will also gain a solid knowledge of the finite element Method approach to
structural analysis and will learn how to apply at an advanced level commercial
finite element software to practical problems in structural engineering.
